On April 8th Missouri experienced 98% totality in the eclipse. It was a teacher work day, and I took the day off, so the kids and I (and a friend) went to the little park by our house to watch. We brought chairs, the basketball, volleyball, and snacks and had a nice afternoon. We were surprised at how light it stayed! Even at 98% totality it looked like dusk. The noticeable parts were the temperature drop and how the wind picked up.
We still love a good charcuterie board.
Track is a brief, but intense, season. Practice is every day after school and they have a meet once or twice per week. Zane has solidified his spot in shot and disc. He is the #1 thrower for the school and has placed 2nd in all the meets that haven't been rained out so far. He's got his eye on 1st and also wants to break the school record. Keep working!
Legends Basketball season is still going strong as well. We had a nice break in April with less tournaments, but May we'll be traveling fools.
Legends Premier got 1st in the tournament after 4 games in 1 day. Way to play, boys!!
This is a still taken from a video of Zane's first attempt of an in-game dunk! He wasn't that far off!!
I had a fun surprise of seeing an art piece of Hannah's on the board as I walked into the CPS Administration building for a meeting!
Last week he did shot, disc, and the 4x400. He got second in both throwing events and his team placed 3rd in the 4x400!
