Pretending to be Healthy

The illness has not left the premises entirely, but it has faded at least. We're all mentally very done with it and have started pretending like we feel better because we're so tired of being sick. I tried out a new allergy friendly baking endeavor. Look how fluffy these muffins are! I was so proud of myself. Unfortunately, I think the coco powder was a bit bitter for the kiddos so I was the only one who ate them (Mason's appetite still hadn't returned). I think I saw a blonde version of these so maybe I'll try that next time.
Hannah continues to work on her big bike, but she's not quite tall or bulky enough to control it reliably.
In Zane's down time he made a magnificent "Zombie School." The inside is all set up with people battling zombies as well.
Feeling a bit better now and outside. This is his chalk monster.
AND -big news- his other front tooth fell out!! The thing had been wiggly since before Christmas and it finally worked its way out of there. I love the gummy smile but I can't wait to see what he looks like with 2 front teeth!
Helping Papa limb the dead pine tree in the front yard. It's down now and the plan is the grind the stump out and plant something native to MO there.
Hannah attended a classmate's Taekwondo birthday party over the weekend. She was thrilled that all her besties were there!
 Breaking boards!
 Dance time.

MU Basketball + Gymnastics

We had some friends of mine, whom I went to college with, come into town for an MU men's basketball game. Tickets were cheap because they were on their longest loosing streak in years. It was a great game to introduce the kids to since it wasn't crowded and they could yell as much as they liked! MU ended up winning and I'm pretty sure it was because we were there :)

The kiddos loved our friends' little guy, Colin, and did a great job sharing their stuff with him!
Another open gym at a gymnastics place. Foam pit is a favorite!

Open gym followed by smoothies is becoming a tradition.

All of these activities were from 2 weeks ago. Ever since I've been in a daze of sickness with Influenza A that's going around. I'm on day 10 and am ready for it to end! I don't know if feel sorry for Hannah or am envious that it missed her, but the poor girl has been doing a phenomenal job of laying low while I lay around and moan. Zane came down with it a few days ago and after missing 4 days of school, finally went back today. Mason stayed home from work several days to take care of me and the kids, and then he got it himself. I was happy to open up the house today and get some fresh air in here. Demons out!!
