Daily Bits

Noise! I'm sorry...Music!

On Fridays, while Zane is at daycare, Hannah hangs out with her buddies (while the Mama's chat!) either at our house, their house, or the swap n' play. Elsa and Jonas are almost 6 months old and live just on the other side of the park. They also have a 3 year old sister whom Zane loves to play with. Perfect!
 Has anyone seen Zane?
Hanging out playing and chatting. You can see her TWO teeth if you look closely.

No pictures, please.

Rippey Cousins

What fun we've had the last few days with all the little cousins together! They all got along so well, it was amazing to watch the interaction, growth, and relationships that happened between them in such a short time.

 Nap time for the ladies!

In the bonnets that Aunt Megan made!

As much as we tried, we couldn't resist getting Hannah and Scarlet matching outfits!! Little Alice had to go back to Seattle, or we would have subject her to the same ;)

Scarlet will be 1 in just a few short days! I couldn't resist taking photos of her sweet little face.
We had many delicious meals as well, but the tenderloins that Uncle Chris made for lunch before they left is something I will dream about for months (drool).

Children's Museum

This past week everyone was finally feeling well enough to venture out (we've had really bad colds for weeks!) and we took the opportunity to finally check out the Children's Museum with the pass that Granmama and Grandpa Hal got the kids for Christmas. Zane was a huge fan of the Water Works area.

We were able to make a brief loop to see the other play areas, and he stopped in the Dig Pit for a bit.

Hannah finally succumbed to the Sandman.
In the Light area, there are a bunch of puppets to use to make a show...Zane preferred to use Lightning McQueen and Fillmore.

Aaaaand...back to the Water Works. Next time we'll remember to bring an extra outfit. We're going to try to make it a weekly outing, possibly on Tuesdays...anyone want to meet us there?!

7 Months

It was hard to get any photos of her where she didn't have something in her mouth, drool running down her chin, or was even facing the right direction since she's so flappy.
Teeth: 1, with another any day.
Poor babe. The second one is giving her much more grief than the first one. She's a drool machine, gnaws on everything, and is clearly uncomfortable. Her naps have been shorter but she's still managing to only wake up 1-2 times at night. She prefers Zane's cars to her many teething apparatuses.
As long as she doesn't drool on his favorites, he's OK with it. She adores her big brother.
She chats, coos, sticks her tongue out, blows spit bubbles, and laughs. She scoots in circles and gets SO frustrated when something is out of reach. She enjoys dropping toys from her chair at the counter and staring at them on the floor. Zane usually lets out an exasperated "Oh Hannah" and then retrieves them for her. I'm glad I have help in that department!

 Sitting: sort of.
She can hold herself upright for about 4 seconds before flopping sideways.
She is a delightful little person.

Tooth

Much to my surprise,  when Hannah grabbed my finger and bit yesterday, it hurt! A lot. I peaked in her mouth and there was the top of a pearly white! She hadn't been any more fussy or drooly than usual, maybe a tad more clingy, but nothing of note so I was totally taken by surprise. She's still giving us great nights of sleep - only waking once or twice, and taking 3 good naps per day. I haven't had time to mentally prepare for this. No more gummy smile. My baby is growing up. Her mouth will be full of them soon (sniffle...sniffle). Zane didn't get teeth until he was 8 months so I thought I had more time. I'm sure I'll wrap my mind around this new development soon, but in the meantime here are some cute photos from me trying to photograph the new addition.

There it is! And from the looks of it, it's buddy is not far behind.
She's in the clip on seat now. She can't sit on her own, but she's strong enough to pull into the sitting position in the bouncy chair and has started flopping from side to side "What's over there?" "Oooo there's a toy." "Look! My sock!" So we felt it was safest to strap her in to the seat. She seems to enjoy sitting up there, especially when Zane is eating across from her.
The cutest photo EVER.
