Christmas

Sugar cookies decorating while we wait for Granmama and Grandpa to arrive on Saturday.
After an evening of showing them everything they could possibly ever want to see in our house, Hannah settled in to read Granmama a book before bed.
Christmas Eve snow! There was just enough to bust out a snowman, but the winds were strong enough to deter long outdoor periods. Mason and Zane call this their alien snowman.
Drawing session to calm the spirits.
Cookies for Santa and an apple for the reindeer (we were out of carrots). Hannah wasn't feeling so hot and conked out early...better to be rested for the big day!
 Santa came!
The children were instructed not to wake anyone before 6am. They waited until 6 on the nose to burst into Grandma and Grandpa's room but who knows how long they'd been watching the clock before then... We started with stockings.
 Monsterous Nerf gun from Santa!
A paint set to work with the kids.
 A watch from her brother.
 Lego set from cousins.
Remote controlled cars work wonderfully for all ages on the kitchen floor.
 She loves her music mat.
 Fiddlin' with the Rubiks Cube.
He's a darn good drone pilot!
 Slithering on her mat.
 Beware.
 Legos.
Laying the base for their rainbow masterpiece.
Outer space tent all ready to go!
Trying to figure out Junior Clue...I think the original was easier!
After dinner we ventured to the Magic Tree near our house. It's gorgeous!

Back home to try for hot cocoa and jammies. Zane got 3D jammies! The dancing bear only shows up after you download the app and take a picture of them, otherwise it's just the big bear head with sunglasses on the front...weird!
Trying to steal the marble from each other.
 Bedtime story.
Ready for bed in her tent with her new buddies.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Hannah School Show + Warm Springs Ranch

Thursday was the last day of school before Winter Break and Hannah's class put on a show for parents. There were several songs, talking parts, musical instruments, and cookies afterwards! Here she is hamming it up in between songs. She just learned to snap and was shaking her hips and snapping to her own tune.
For one of the songs all the siblings of kindergarteners sang the harmony! I thought that was such a neat idea and took a lot of planning and dedication on the music teacher's part.
Hannah's turn at the mike! Nailed it!
Feliz Navidad! I was very proud of her because the maracas were being handed out while she was at the mike and she didn't get one. She realized that and then continued with the movements!
After the show we all went back to her classroom for cookies and refreshments. Here she is with her lollipop prop from the Candy Man song. The gym teacher, who also teaches guitar and ukulele, cut out the lollipops for each kinder and then they painted them. I love their school!

Hannah and her bestie, Sarah, and her table-mate, Freddy. Cute kiddos.
Her outfit head to toe. The light bulb necklace was made by Grandmama (Shirley).
Dismissed. Let break begin! This is Hannah's "melted snowman" ornament. I love it!
Zane's gingerbread house. He had to take a picture before he started eating it!
Both gingerbread houses and the proud architects.
That evening we went to Warm Springs Ranch in Booneville to check out the holiday lights and Clydesdales.
Specifically the Budweiser Clydesdales. When in Rome...you celebrate with Budweiser. Wait, that's not how that goes.

A mama and her not so little baby. The baby is 4 months old.

The lights on the truck behind me blinked in tune with the music. Cheers!
Zane's head in the wheel well.
We took a walk to take a break from the flashing display to go see a horse in the pasture. Hannah named it Chocolate Croissant. We called him CC for short.

The next morning I had Zane open a package that was addressed to me in case it wasn't wrapped. It was AND there was chocolate nuggets inside. Sometimes you need chocolate at 7am. They each grabbed one and ran off...then there was shrieking. Zane's tooth that wasn't so lose came out when he bit in! I would like to thank my cousin, Emily, for sending that chocolate and saving us the usual, drawn out tooth extraction process!
