It's Big Bubble weather again!! We love big bubbles.
This is Hannah's new normal, that will hopefully allow her to be less itchy in the very near future. It's a tincture of her top allergens to help her system cope with them better. So far there have been zero side effects!! She takes 2ml each morning, and I'm so thankful the nurse recommended setting a timer for the same time each day because every single time it goes off I have a brief moment of "What's that for?" before I remember. We took an evening walk on the nature trail. The kids opted to longboard.
Last week was Classroom Aide Appreciation Day and one of the classes filled our office with balloons. Here is my friend enjoying them in the morning.
On Wednesdays, Zane has a board breaking class at Taekwondo at 3:45. We get home from school at 3:15 so it's a mad rush to let the dogs out, get ready, and be there on time. I feel bad about letting the dogs out and then putting them right back in their kennel so we usually take them with us so Hannah and I can walk them while Zane is in class. Only on this day the rain had other ideas and we got stuck in a monsoon...and then made it back to van and were stuck in there with 2 wet dogs until class was over. Always an adventure!
Hello Hooman.
The floaty pets aren't doing so well lately. There were 3 fish, now there are 2. Of course it's Hannah's that's missing. And I mean missing. Nothing left. I cleaned the tank and checked inside and under all the things and there is no trace. Hannah is choosing to envision an alien abduction. Mason and I have started referring to the remaining fish as Hannibal and Lecter.
Ozzy's happy place.
Hannah and I went to visit some friends and we ended up getting take out for dinner so we took a ride in her convertible!! It was so fun and amazing to ride in someone else's car without masks!
Hannah and I took a walk downtown before we picked up our pizza for a school fundraiser. Here she is in front of the kindness butterfly. She's jumping so the wings will be in the right spot :)
Pizza with real cheese!!! We've been working up to this moment for a long time with increasing amounts of dairy each day. She loved it!
Zane has 2 buddies in his class who observe Ramadan. His teacher fasted one day to support them and Zane and another friend joined it. It was really hard, but he did it. You can't even drink water during the day!! I don't think I'd make it.
We had an electrician friend come over and move our thermostat so it aligned with the light switch. It's always floated in the middle of the wall, and once our friend was in there, he said it looks like the previous owners moved it over on purpose. It has been keeping us from putting furniture where we want to put it since we moved in and we'd had enough.
Zane and I took an early morning trip to Target to get a present for his friend and decided to use up a Panera gift card that was burning a hole in my pocket. We both got smoothies and his new favorite thing is Cinnamon Crunch bagels. It was nice to spend some time with my boy.
The birthday party was at Midway Golf and games and the boys got to go kart and play laser tag. So fun!
The weather last week was a wreck. Sunny, snow, and then one day it hailed, rained, and was then sunny and hot all within half an hour (during Hannah's recess).
I got really tired of people not picking up their dog's poop. I made a thing to hold bags. I hope they use it.
Newest painting project: The debrowning of the house. We started in the living room. The rest will happen over the course of the summer.
The color is called "Buttered Yam" but Hannah referred to it as "Mac n Cheese" and now it's the Mac n Cheese room.
I patched the hole near the thermostat all by myself and you can't even tell!!!
The dogs were exhausted from staying out of the way in the basement all day.
Hannah and I found the perfect spot for the the felted ball mobile we made.
Aaaaaand done. We LOVE it!! It makes me smile every time I walk through now :) We plan to collect items from local artists for the big open wall.
